Patchwork, brocades, check, tweed, paisley, retro, tartan, eastern and animal prints. Fringe and flair. The 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s trends. A mix of lace, denim, suede, velvet, fur, silk, wool, leather and transparent fabrics – A time where quirkiness is cool, masculine meets feminine and where you will find symmetry in a-symmetry.
This autumn / winter season is gonna be so much fun! I can’t wait to mix and (mis)-match all the different prints, styles and textures. Yes, I love clashing. Clashing everything. I think it gives your outfit a more personal twist – a unique stamp.
SEASON CHANGED AND SO DOES YOUR WARDROBE?
Besides the outstanding pussybow dress, trench coat, long and high slit skirts, culottes, over knee boots and cape trends, the most important must have, you already own. Yep, I think I’m fairly confident in saying, that you can fast forward your existing wardrobe into AW2015 without any more spending.
This girls, is because the blouse is back! I bet you already have one in your closet. You may also be lucky enough to still have an old roll neck – please don’t throw that away either, because these could very well become the hardest working items in your wardrobe this season.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Your summer collection will also be in the picture this winter! Team up your blouse or roll neck with a tank top but by simply wearing the latter on top, you have automatically kept up to date with the latest catwalk trends.
Alternatively, have some fun with it and play around with ideas like buttoning up all the way and adding a skinny scarf or printed neck tie.
FROM FULLY CLOSED, TO FULLY OPEN
From the roll necks to the high up buttoned blouse trend, lets now finally unbutton all the way to the last (and most revealing) neckline trend – Say hi to the daring, plunging V-neck!
This neckline, as well as showing off some skin, is trending this winter – and don’t even get me started about the bare skin under a blazer look. Yep, the suit is hot this season, and so is the whole of your boyfriend’s wardrobe!
The borrowed from the boy trend is one of my favorites – but be sure to give it a feminine twist. Always.
Think, your sexy high slit maxi skirt + his bomber jacket. Your asymmetric mini skirt + his tee & blazer. Your masculine velvet suit with heels and a statement necklace. Your lace blouse + his comfy sweatpants. Your off shoulder top + his jeans.
So, go wild and team up that masculine energy with that romantic lace. Again – Clash everything. The summer and the winter, the old and the new, your boyfriends with your yours – try it all and have fun with it – Because remember: Being yourself never goes out of style!
